3 Minute Read
It is always annoying to get angry at your own arrangement of furniture around your bedroom by unwittingly setting them up before proper plan or thinking. We are just here to remind you that you don’t have to go through this again. Here are some basic rules for you to contemplate about to have a “one-time deal” with arranging your furniture in your bedroom:
Size Matters
Depending on a bedroom’s size, prioritize what
you want to have in it. You want all the things necessary to keep in the
bedroom for your choice and convenience but trust me, you don’t really want to
jam it with, e.g., all of your favourite things you possess – it looks a lot
like a massacre mess than a museum of memories. So, there is a trade-off
coming: Start focusing on the things you need to have there then figure out
what ancillary things you want later, if you still have considerable space for
it.From a considerably big room to a tiny room for a bedroom, your accoutrements
will vary greatly. But remember, always leave space for you to breathe, it’ll
be giant plus point for your health.
Draw before Do
It’s easier to do draft or sketch different furniture arrangements than to move furniture around the room every time you dislike it and then waste time after it to redo. Doesn't matter if your drawing looks like a civil drawing or childish scribble - as long as you understand what you have to do, it's good enough. To move away from this hassle, firstly, measure your items that are necessary for a bedroom like bed, dresser, shelves, etc., as well as the dimensions of your room. Then take a pencil or pen and ruler to start sketching for your preferred arrangement of furniture.
Functionality of Furniture
You don’t need to put a piece of furniture in
your bedroom if it doesn’t have any functionality of coming to your aid, help
or preference while being in that room. So, think what purpose you do want your
bedroom to serve for you, then decide which sets of furniture you are going to settle
in your room.
But remember to plan a walking path from one furniture to another — you don’t
want some furniture to block your path to get to another furniture for your
intended purpose.
A for Apartment, B for Bed
The number of windows, balconies and doors do come into play while you arrange your bed, table-chair set, closet, tv and whatnot. How you want air to flow in your room and whether you want to feel it or not decides your preference to these furniture arrangements. Start settling “big guns” that are mentioned in the earlier sentence of this paragraph and then move on to arrange small stuff like paintings, flower vase etc. later.
Follow these simple rules to save you the
trouble of repeating furniture arrangement throughout the year.
